Today, I learned how to prepare a beef tongue with spicy sauce from a recipe from my mother who learned it from her mother who learned it from her mother... I watched religiously my father gestures conducted by my mother advices. In a world where you can eat a big mac everywhere all around the world, and because time is running so fast, it was important for me to get and learn it to be able maybe one day at my turn to give it to the next generation. It is the kind of thing you can't find in a book. You have to be here, to feel things. It is above the cooking. It is about to know where I coming from to be stronger on the way where I want to go in life. You can learn a lot at the university, but also so much in a small kitchen...

  1. ahh a subject after my own heart! I love cooking, I love old recipes and I love making dishes from scratch lovingly for my family. Alas it is a dying trade, people are so much less in the kitchen and so much more busy. Good for you for taking the time to learn such an art. x
